MultiGas™ FTIR Spectroscopy
MultiGas™ FTIR Spectroscopy gas analyzer instruments from MKS Instruments are capable of ppb to ppm sensitivity for multiple gas species in a variety of gas analysis applications, such as:
MKS Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometers
FTIR Spectrometry, FTIR Spectroscopy, FTIR Spectrography
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIRS) (FTIR Spectroscopy, FTIR Spectrometry, FTIR Spectrography) exploits the phenomenon of molecular IR absorption to accurately measure gas concentrations. With an FTIR Spectrometer (Fourier Transform Infrared gas analyzer), the IR beam passes though a gas sample. Gas molecules interact with IR radiation, absorbing light at specific wavelengths. Every gas species examined with FTIR Spectrometry has a unique fingerprint spectrum. Since no two chemical species have the same IR spectrum, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIR) is a highly-effective method of gas analysis.
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIRS):
A Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIRS) is the type of spectrometer used to detect and analyze gas molecules. FTIR Spectroscopy is used for quality control detecting of trace amounts of contaminants for exhaust, forensic, and regulatory analysis. A practical, cost effective method for rapid, accurate on-line gas analysis, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers enable researchers to quickly, accurately, and efficiently evaluate process performance.
